Yes. Explore the show site in your browser without installing anything or providing a key. On Mac, the app opens on a demo project. You can also open and index a real folder without a model; AI drafting requires connecting a provider.
You can import your action log from a spreadsheet. The minutes use the report's standard sections, with your letterhead and the project details in the header. Check a sample first: the beta does not promise to reproduce every existing layout exactly.
The download page states the offer included in the available version. Versions with one free active project let you archive a project to open another; archives remain readable and exportable. Multiple projects require a named licence: ongoing use, updates included, with seats and price agreed on the order. No automatic payment. Any charges from your AI provider remain yours.

On your computer: the project folder stays where it is, and what BrickNote derives from it — worksheets, register, log — is stored on that computer. Only the documents you ask about are sent to the model you configured, at the provider you chose, under its contract. There is no BrickNote server.
An email sent from your address, with the minutes as a PDF. Nothing to install, no page to open elsewhere, no account. The PDF carries its SHA-256 fingerprint in the footer.
Yes. In France, Article 226-1 of the Penal Code requires it; elsewhere, the rules of the place where the meeting is held apply, and may be stricter. BrickNote shows the announcement text before every recording and asks you to confirm that participants were informed.
Yes. Two settings, deliberately separate: the interface language, and the language your documents go out in — a coordinator in France can run the app in English and still owe their contractors French minutes. Worksheets and reminders follow the document language, with or without an AI model; drafting meeting minutes requires a connected model. Issued minutes keep their original language. In the desktop app, the sample project and guided tutorial come in English or French, following the interface language when you first open them. The illustrated specimens on this page and the published films also show a French worked project. Country-specific trade and contract profiles are planned.
