Terms of Service

Article 1 - Purpose

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the BrickNote mobile application, published by APITHINGS (SIREN 890 251 184).

Use of the application implies full acceptance of these Terms.

Article 2 - Service Description

BrickNote is an iOS mobile application designed for construction professionals (OPC, site supervisors, site managers). It enables:

• Voice note recording and AI transcription
• Photo capture and annotation
• AI-assisted report generation
• Multi-project management
• Offline functionality

Article 3 - Service Access

The application is free to download on the App Store for compatible iOS devices. AI report-generation features require the BrickNote Pro subscription, an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store, where applicable preceded by a free trial period. The price is displayed in the app before any purchase; the subscription can be cancelled at any time from the App Store settings.

The user is responsible for their equipment (smartphone, internet connection) and any associated costs.

Article 4 - Registration

Using the application requires no account creation: no email or password is requested. The Pro subscription is tied to the user’s Apple account via a pseudonymous identifier; purchases can be restored from within the app.

Article 5 - Service Usage

The user agrees to:

• Use the application for its intended purpose
• Not use the application for illegal purposes
• Not attempt to compromise application security
• Respect intellectual property rights

Article 6 - User Data

Data created by the user (notes, photos, projects) remains their property.

Data is stored locally on the user's device; audio recordings and photos never leave the device. For subscribers (and during the trial period), the text transcript is securely transmitted to a service hosted in the European Union, solely to generate the report.

Article 7 - Artificial Intelligence

The application uses artificial intelligence technologies for:

• Audio recording transcription
• Report generation
• Contextual assistance

AI-provided results are indicative and must be verified by the user. APITHINGS does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Article 8 - Intellectual Property

The BrickNote application, its interface, source code and all its elements are the exclusive property of APITHINGS.

Any unauthorized reproduction, modification or distribution is prohibited.

Article 9 - Liability

APITHINGS strives to ensure availability and proper functioning of the application, but cannot guarantee a service free from interruption or error.

APITHINGS shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the application.

Article 10 - Terms Modification

APITHINGS reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes via the application.

Continued use of the application after Terms modification constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.

Article 11 - Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
